With the possible exit of both Henderson and Fabinho at this current summer transfer window, Liverpool has been in the market for possible upgrades to the team that looked less competitive in the just concluded campaign. Looking back to the heights that Liverpool has achieved in the recent past years since Jurgen Klopp became the manager, one would really not rate their overall performance last season high. Despite winning the community shield from Pep Guardiola’s wonder men, it still would not suffice for the way they were knocked out of the Champion’s league. With the struggles of last season, one would expect a busy window for the English side.
Fabinho since joining from Monaco in 2018 has helped Liverpool a lot in the defensive role, playing in front of the defense has helped Liverpool to win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA World Club Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and the Community Shield. His departure is really a concern for the coach and fan base as an upgrade to his qualities will be sort for in any player that will replace him.
Henderson who was signed from Sunderland in 2011, who since his arrival, has helped Liverpool win trophies during his 12years trophy-laden spell at Anfield, has finally left the club. He won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA World Club Cup, Premier League, FA cup, Carabao Cups and Community Shield.
Owing to the possible exit of two experienced midfielders, Liverpool has been linked with outstanding players to fill in the gaps of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Liverpool in a bit to bluster their midfield position, has gotten the signature of the World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Their qualities are undeniable as their exploits in Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively are still fresh thus, the quality and the dynamics which they set to bring into the team is undeniable.
Alexis Mac Allister, the Argentine is a versatile midfielder who can play the defensive , attacking and creative role. He made 41 appearances for Brighton, netting 11 goals and 4 assists. He is good with set pieces and maintaining ball possession. With good pass accuracy and a shot, at the age of 24 has made himself a good asset for Liverpool.
Dominik Szoboszlai is a 22 years old who made 91 appearances for RB Leipzig, scoring 20 times with 22 assists. He is a flexible player who can play as a central midfielder, left, right and center-forward, good with set pieces as well as good pass accuracy and finishing. With the scoring ability of the duo, they can help fire Liverpool into the title race next season and offer a helping hand to Mo Salah, Nunez, and Luis Diaz to form a very strong attacking force.
Asides these two, Liverpool has been linked with a lot of names like Kelvin Philips of Manchester City, Florentino Luis of Benfica & Romeo Lavia of Southampton. Sofyan Amrabat is said to be off the list having turned down Liverpool with hopes for the possible move to Manchester United.
With the summer transfer window still on, Liverpool is hoping to get in more talents to make sure that the team competes for the title next season and will be at their best as they have always been since the club was revived by Klopp. It’s important to note that transfer decisions depend on various factors, including player availability, club strategies, and budget considerations.

Personally, with Mac and Dominik I will say Liverpool have a strong first 11 team for the season. If they must finish in the top 4, they will have to sacrifice one or two cup competitions early, as their team cannot be stretched thin. I trust Klopp to prioritize the league though. I look forward to an exciting season filled with surprises.
