The German Bundesliga is set to kick off in the next 13 days and many of their teams will like to field an upgraded team to what they have last season, and they will make the maximum use of the summer transfer window to this effect. Bayern Munich is all out to avoid the repetition of what happened last season in their club’s history. Generally, the Germany Bundesliga experienced an over hurl as last season was the first time Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were neither the winners nor the runners up since 2006/07 when Stuttgart won the league and Schalke were the runners up.

Some teams from the events of last season and their activities in the transfer window have drawn attention to themselves and raised a lot of expectations from their fans and some of these teams are: Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart and RB Leipzig.

Bayer Leverkusen had an invisible to their first German Bundesliga title in the club’s history and they have the ingenuity of Xavi Alonso, his coaching team and the players to thank for putting their best to get the best result. Before the emergence of last season, Bayer Leverkusen hardly makes headline but with the way they started the league in such a strong fashion, having the ball for the majority of times in the games, the way they won their matches and with good goal margins, not struggling to breakdown good defenses, the number of players they had in the opposition half and consequently in the opposition box drew attention to them. What drew attention to them the most was the fact that they did this against the big names in the league and most of the times got the whole 3points that the match has to offer and some of the times with an unbelievable result from the match last the 3-0 win against Bayern Munich in the 2nd leg of the league games. However, with what they were able to achieve last season, their fans will not be expecting anything less from them this new season as it gets underway very soon. With some additions and departures in the team, the team will be looking to have some fresh legs to further the team’s agenda. They will be looking to do more than they did last season with Champions League football this season. Losing to Atlanta in the finals cut their treble dreams short, but be that as it may, they will be ready to go all out this season for whatever title there is to win out there.

Bayern Munich had one of their worst seasons last season despite having some good additions to the squad in the person of Kane, who had an awesome debut season and has the German Bundesliga golden boot award to show for it. Kane finished the season with 36goals from 146shots. However, Bayern Munich ended the season without a trophy which last happened in 2011/2012 when they lost the league to Dortmund and the Champions League to Chelsea. The club has been all out to see that something of this nature does not repeat itself as it has seen them secure the signature of Kompany as head coach with a few more new hands in the coaching staff. They also made some remarkable moves in the transfer market, securing the signature of Olise who is wrecking teams presently with France in the ongoing summer Olympics 2024 in France. They have also secured the signature of Paulinha, Eric Dier while still in the market for Bayer Leverkusen center back Jonathan Tah amongst other targets to get the best squad to return them to glory. With how active they have been in the market, their fans are all eager for the new German Bundesliga season to start as they hope to return to winning ways, subduing their foes on every side.

Borussia Dortmund had one of their worst season to say the least last season. They struggled to finish 5th in the table after losing the league on the final day to Bayern Munich the previous season. The German side struggled at all front last season though they had a very decent run in the Champions League as they were the runners up, had they had beaten Real Madrid in the finals, they would have been crowned Champions of Europe. However, that seemed to be the only positives from their performances last season. They have injury to blame however at one front and not so wonderful managerial aptitude at another front. With Nuri Sahin as their new coach for the new season, they expect something different and they expect their players to be fit and injury free to run a fantastic season. With the likes of Waldemar Anton, Soumaila Coulibaly amongst others to strengthen the squad, they will be eager for the new season and their fans will have some expectations especially of their return to glory.

Stuttgart had a decent season last season and ended the season just behind Bayer Leverkusen, though with a whopping 17points difference as they finished with 73points as against Bayer Leverkusen’s 90points. Finishing above the 11consecutive league winner Bayern Munich though it’s just a point difference but it has a lot to say about the amount of work they put in last season. Stuttgart will be looking forward to a brilliant season ahead with Champions League football in their sleeves, they will go all out to make the best use of the ongoing summer transfer window to sharpen their team and have a squad that can compete in the highest level, in the highest competition there is for a club; the Champions League in the coming season. Their fans will be full of expectations following what they were able to achieve last season.

RB Leipzig had a fair share of good performances season and finished fourth in the table. They finished 3rd the previous season with 66points and last season 4th with 65points, more will be expected from this team this season. Considering how competitive last season was and they pressure that came from Borussia Dortmund, who was eager to make their way to a top four finish last season and with just 2points separating them at the end of the season shows the kind of effort this team had to put up and the pressure they shouldered. The fans will be hoping they step up their game. With Champions League football this season, they are all out in the market for the signature of significant players that will further their course locally and internationally. With some new players already in the squad, the expectation for this team is pretty high especially with the loan move of Xavi Simon to the club confirmed.

With the massive over hurl this league experienced last season championed by Bayer Leverkusen pulling the impossible, a lot of teams will be eager to try harder as the impossible has been made possible and the mysterious demystified. On the other hand, the big names will be eager to reclaim their grandeur this season. It is going to be a whole lot of actions in the German Bundesliga this season.
Do not miss the drama!!!!
